Yellowstone 2020 (Part 1 - Springfield MO and Cheyenne WY)

Deciding to proceed with an epic road trip during summer 2020 is complex. Our plans to visit Glacier during this trip had to be scrapped last minute as we would only be able to see West Glacier. We were left to secure a last minute Plan B, a fantastic Plan B, of Grand Tetons. But first we had to get there.

​Our epic road trips traditionally consist of us scrambling as fast as possible to a destination, touring quickly and on to the next step. For this trip, we are allowing three days for travel each way and taking time to enjoy the sights along the way. The first stop: Columbia, Missouri. 

We stayed at Cottonwood’s RV Park. This campground is a great stop in central Missouri. Community features include a pool, playground, fire pit, and a large camp store. We enjoyed exploring the RV park and had a relaxing evening. 

Day two got us to the Cheyenne KOA, a Journey with a nice pool, mini golf, playground, horseshoes, ladder golf and other outdoor games. We had a great afternoon enjoying all of the features. This KOA was loaded with amenities for a Journey badge, but a perfect stopover on our way to our first destination. 

By tomorrow evening we will be at Yellowstone National Park!
